International Resource Center

Essential Resources. A Place to Connect.

The International Resource Center is one of the primary ways individuals and families connect with Spokane Slavic Association.

The Center provides access to donated clothing, household essentials, food resources when available, and other practical support while also serving as a welcoming place where community members can learn about additional resources and opportunities.

Whether you need assistance, want to donate, or are looking for a way to help your community, the International Resource Center is a place to start.

What You Can Find at the Resource Center

Available resources may include:

  • Clothing and shoes
  • Household items
  • Kitchen items
  • Furniture when available
  • Other donated essential items
  • Food resources when available

Items are provided based on current inventory and availability.

Because most items are donated by community members and partners, we cannot guarantee that a particular item, size, or quantity will be available.

More Than Clothing & Household Items

The International Resource Center is also an entry point into other SSA services.

If you have another need, our team may be able to connect you with:

  • Resource Navigation & Community Assistance

  • Translation and interpretation

  • Notary and basic document assistance

  • Workforce and employment services

  • Business development resources

  • Youth and family activities

  • Community events and information

  • Services available through partner organizations

You do not need to know which program you need before visiting us. Tell us what you are looking for, and we can help identify an appropriate next step.

Food Resources

SSA works with community partners to help provide and connect individuals and families with available food resources.

Food availability and distribution schedules may change depending on donations, partner schedules, inventory, funding, and community need.

When food assistance is not available directly through SSA, our team may help identify other food resources in the community.

Your Items Can Help Another Family

The International Resource Center is made possible in large part through donations from individuals, families, businesses, and community partners.

SSA accepts selected new and gently used items that can be redistributed to people in the community.

Depending on current needs and available space, we may accept:

  • Clothing and shoes
  • Household items
  • Kitchen items
  • Furniture
  • Other useful essential items

Donation needs and acceptance guidelines may change as inventory and storage capacity change.

Large Donations & Donation Pickup

SSA operates a box truck to support transportation of larger donations and essential items.

Pickup may be available for qualifying donations depending on:

Please contact us before requesting pickup or bringing unusually large donations to the Center.

Giving Useful Items a Second Life

Community donations can create value in more than one way.

Many donated items are distributed directly through the International Resource Center to people who need them.

Selected donated goods may also be sold through approved resale channels when appropriate. Revenue generated through these activities helps support SSA's charitable work and contributes to the sustainability of the Resource Center.

This allows donated resources to continue creating community benefit even when an item may not be appropriate for direct distribution.

Give. Receive. Connect.

The International Resource Center was built around a simple idea: resources available within the community can be connected with people who need them. Today, the Center continues that work while also serving as a doorway to the broader services and opportunities available through Spokane Slavic Association.
